Consulting on problems related to High Voltage Engineering, including assessment, design and documentation on Earthing, Lightning protection and Insulation coordination, as well as acceptance and proof tests on distribution and transmission class switchgear assemblies are considered as representative of the services offered by the Laboratory. Numerous manufacturers, utilities, consulting firms and agencies from throughout the country have used the High Voltage Laboratory for evaluation/testing of new products, evaluation of dielectric materials, and various other projects.
